PROJECT UPDATE (10.7.2013):

It's been 12 weeks since the existing 2 story frame building was demolished. We are a week ahead of schedule (sure to change) due to most material needing only to be assembled as opposed to being cut/assembled. This is expedited by matt's layout and the accuracy of the concrete installation. Our present focus is getting weather tight for winter.

NEXT…window wall framing with exterior sheathing starting next week.

PROJECT UPDATE (7.9.2013):

This is our first new construction venture into downtown evanston. Initially, the existing 2 story frame building will be demolished. We are replacing it with (4) 1,600 SF live/work units. Due to site and code constraints, the entire project is “elevated” to the 2nd floor. Many of the ideas from our previous adaptive re-use project at 604 davis have been incorporated into this project. Units can be combined or shared for multiple uses.

In keeping with our previous projects, energy efficiency, daylighting and natural ventilation, “sensible” green design and flexibility to adapt to future technologies are incorporated in the design.
