PROJECT UPDATE (7.9.2013):
This is our first new
construction venture into downtown evanston. Initially, the existing 2 story
frame building will be demolished. We are replacing it with (4) 1,600 SF
live/work units. Due to site and code constraints, the entire project is
“elevated” to the 2nd floor. Many of the ideas from our previous
adaptive re-use project at 604 davis have been incorporated into this project.
Units can be combined or shared for multiple uses.
In keeping with our
previous projects, energy efficiency, daylighting and natural ventilation,
“sensible” green design and flexibility to adapt to future technologies are
incorporated in the design.

About how much will rent be?
ReplyDeleteYou write your construction emphasizes "... energy efficiency, daylighting...". Apartments raised above an area exposed to outside weather conditions (especially in winter) are generally very difficult to keep warm. Also where does this "daylighting" come from with so much opaque coverings?
